More Stability. More Feel. Maximum Precision.
-
In equestrian sports, where the finest muscle coordination, stability, and precise aids are crucial, the potential of gradual compression has long been underestimated. AXC Equine Studio is changing that.
-
ENERGY
More agile legs, more precise aids
-
STABILITY
Better grip in riding boots, more stable leg
-
ENDURANCE
Less muscle fatigue, faster recovery
-
COMFORT
Lighter legs, reduced blistering
Targeted support that makes the difference.
A calm, stable leg is the foundation of precise riding – and at the same time one of the biggest challenges. Targeted compression supports your muscles exactly where precision in riding is created.
Energy
Graduated compression improves circulation, delivers oxygen and nutrients faster and helps you stay powerful for longer.
Stability
Targeted support zones give you more hold in the riding boot and promote a steady, controlled leg.
Endurance
Optimized muscle supply improves recovery and reduces fatigue during long and intense sessions.
Comfort
Improved lymph flow reduces swelling, while anatomical fit and padding minimize friction.
Riding-specific support zones
Critical areas such as the heel and instep are specifically reinforced – precisely where friction and blisters most frequently occur in riding boots due to pressure and movement. The anatomically close fit reduces movement in the boot and further counteracts friction.
At the same time, the material in the foot area is deliberately kept particularly thin – for a precise fit, less pressure, and a comfortably dry feel, even during intense sessions.
Targeted function. Without compromising on feel.
Technology with precision in detail
The principle of compression sounds simple, but it is technologically highly complex. With gradual compression, the pressure is strongest at the ankle and decreases controllably upwards. In this way, venous return to the heart is improved, the veins are relieved, and blood circulation in the muscles is enhanced. Blood accumulates less, and the legs feel fresher. At the same time, compression stabilises the muscles and reduces fine vibrations that occur with every movement. This reduces micro-tears in the muscle fibres and thus also muscle soreness.
Real Compression. Real Results.
Why are compression socks particularly useful for riders?
Horse riding places a particular strain on the legs. Long periods spent in the saddle cause blood to pool in the lower legs, making them feel heavy. Tight boots exacerbate this effect by increasing pressure on the calf and further restricting circulation. Compression stockings specifically counteract this: They promote blood flow, reduce swelling, and prevent pressure points in the boot. At the same time, they stabilize the stressed calf and thigh muscles. Riders report greater stamina, fewer cramps, and noticeably better stability during training and competitions.
Compression Stockings vs. Tight Socks
Not everything that fits snugly provides true compression.
The term "compression socks" is not protected and is frequently used – even for products with no measurable effect.
True compression is based on a precisely defined pressure distribution (mmHg) and is manufactured with technological precision.
AXC deliberately goes a step further here:
Our socks are tested on Swisslastic measuring systems to precisely validate the actual compression and its progression.
The result is not just a snug fit –
but functional compression with a measurable effect.
Compression in summer and winter
Performance – all year round
Compression doesn't just work during training –
it accompanies you through every season.
Summer
When temperatures rise, so does the strain on your legs.
- heavy legs
- water retention
- decreasing performance
AXC addresses exactly this.
Thanks to Dryarn®, your leg stays dry and light even at high temperatures.
The material is extremely breathable, quick-drying and efficiently wicks moisture to the outside.
Targeted compression also supports circulation –
for a noticeably lighter, fresher feeling, even on long days in the stable or at competitions.
Winter
Cold changes blood circulation –
and you can feel exactly that in the saddle.
Cold feet, reduced sensitivity and less feeling in the leg can impair precision.
Compression supports blood flow and helps to
keep the warmth in the leg stable.
The result:
- less cooling down
- more feeling
- consistent performance even at low temperatures
What's next
We are taking compression further.
We are currently working on a winter model,
which is specially adapted to the requirements of the cold season –
with adjusted materials and optimized thermal performance.
Compression and varicose veins, lipedema and water retention
AXC works with medically defined compression, which supports the return flow of blood to the heart and relieves strain on the veins. Compression can also be supportive for those with a tendency towards varicose veins, lipedema, or water retention – especially in everyday life and during prolonged exertion. For existing conditions, the application should be individually clarified with a doctor.
